He began his career in the trenches of direct marketing. He serves as an Executive Chairman of Draftfcb at The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. He serves as General Chairman of XXVIII John Caples International Awards. He serves a Director for Chicago's After School Matters, Inc. He serves as Director of Draft FCB of Draft FCB. He serves as a Director of The Advertising Council, Inc. He served as a Director of optionsXpress Holdings, Inc. at brokersXpress, LLC since April 2007. He served as a Director of Flycast Communications Corporation since January 1999. He serves as Trustee of Pediatric AIDS Chicago. He supports Herbert G. Birch Services in New York, which helps families affected by AIDS, and adults and children with developmental disabilities. He is also a trustee of Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. Mr. Draft holds a BA degree in Philosophy and Art History from Ripon College.
