Mr. Edward J. “Ned” Kelly, III, brings decades of experience with preeminent financial organizations. He is currently the chairman of the board of directors of CSX Corporation, and serves on the boards of MetLife and XL Group. Mr. Kelly served as chairman of the institutional clients group at Citigroup Inc. He joined Citigroup in 2008 and held positions including chairman of global banking, vice chairman, and CFO. Prior to Citigroup, Mr. Kelly held leadership roles at The Carlyle Group, The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., Mercantile Bankshares Corp., and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Mr. Kelly has served on several boards including The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., The Hershey Company, Paris Re Holdings Ltd., Axis Capital Holdings Limited, Constellation Energy Group (now a subsidiary of Exelon Corporation), CIT Group Inc., New York City Ballet, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, the University of Virginia Law School Foundation, Johns Hopkins University, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Baltimore Museum of Art. Mr. Kelly received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Princeton University and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Mr. Kelly has served as the President of Citigroup Alternative Investments since February 2008 and as Chief Executive and President since March 2008. He joined Citigroup from The Carlyle Group, where he served as Managing Director of the Financial Institutions Group from June 2007 to January 2008. He previously was a Vice Chairman of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. from March 2007 to June 2007. From March 2001 to March 2007, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercantile Bankshares Corporation ("Mercantile") and also served as Mercantile's Chairman from March 2003 to March 2007. Mr. Kelly also is a member of the Board of Directors of CSX Corporation.
