Davis has been accountable at AT&T for regulatory, litigation, antitrust and marketing legal activities since he joined the company in 1981 after four years of private law practice in Kansas. He will direct Qwest's federal and state regulatory and legislative business from the Qwest offices in Arlington, VA and Denver. A key area of Davis' responsibility is the merger of Qwest with U S WEST, which is expected to close in mid-2000. He will report to Drake Tempest, Qwest executive vice president and general counsel. Davis received his juris doctor and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Kansas. He is a member of the bar in Texas, Missouri, and Kansas.
