Reid Stuntz's legislative practice focuses on health, energy, environmental, and telecommunications issues. Reid also is a Co-chair of the firm's oversight and investigations working group. From 1997-2007, Reid served as Minority Staff Director and Chief Counsel to John D. Dingell, then-ranking Democrat of the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce. In that position, he directed operations of a 30-person staff in support of Democratic committee members and handled a variety of legislative, investigative, political, policy, and procedural matters. Prior to this position, Reid was the Minority General Counsel for the U.S. House Committee on Commerce, where he directed Democratic staff work on Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations issues, and worked on securities and health care legislative matters, among others. Previously, Reid worked for seven years for the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations in the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce under then-Chairman Dingell, first as Counsel, and later as Staff Director and Chief Counsel. Reid also was a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice Trial Section, Antitrust Division, and a senior attorney at another Washington, D.C. law firm.
