Ms. Irvin is a Managing Director in Sonnenschein’s Public Law & Policy Strategies Group. Her work focuses on advocacy in the areas of energy, health care, data regulation, and environmental issues. Ms. Irvin specializes in legislation regarding renewable energy, climate change, health care, privacy, and consumer protection at both the state and federal level. She also regularly assists clients with political compliance, advising individuals, corporations, associations and nonprofits on the intricacies of federal and state lobbying, campaign finance and ethics law. Prior to joining Sonnenschein, Ms. Irvin worked as a legislative consultant for Alpharetta-based ChoicePoint (NYSE: CPS), where her duties ranged from analyzing state legislation and regulations to implementing a grassroots action plan. Ms. Irvin was part of the inaugural class of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Fellows and Scholars program in 2003. She has served as a legislative aide for a Louisiana-based government relations firm and has spent time on Capitol Hill working for Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA). Ms. Irvin is fluent in French and remains actively engaged in southern politics and campaigns.
