Alex Albert

Alex Albert is recognized as a top Republican strategist in Washington, D.C. with a unique ability to work both sides of the political aisle. As former Chief of Staff to Democratic U.S. Senator Zell Miller, Alex worked closely with President George W. Bush's White House to help catapult Senator Zell Miller into national acclaim on such key issues as the federal budget, homeland security and judicial confirmations. Alex has over seventeen years of experience on political and governmental strategy, starting in the state legislature of Georgia and proceeding to serve as Legislative Director and key advisor on Western Hemisphere Affairs to U.S. Senator Paul Coverdell, the Chairman of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. In that capacity, Alex traveled extensively through Canada, Mexico, Central America and South America. In his twelve years of senior staff positions in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, Alex worked on major federal initiatives including: the 1996 Farm Bill, the 2001 Education Reauthorization, and on a number of complex finance committee issues. In addition, Alex served in the executive branch in the U.S. Administration of former President, George H.W. Bush, as assistant to the Director of the Peace Corps. Alex's expertise extends to media relations as well. His work (ghost written for Senator Coverdell) has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Atlanta Journal Constitution and publications in the southeastern U.S. Alex received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University where he was selected by the Associated Press for the 1-AA All American football team in 1986 and 1987.
