Dwayne Andrews joined Cozen O'Connor's Public Strategies in 2013 as a member in the firm's New York office. Before joining Cozen O’Connor, Dwayne was a principal in the New York and Washington, D.C., offices of Blank Rome Government Relations, LLC. He has almost 20 years of public policy and regulatory experience to service the needs of clients in the areas of education, and telecommunications and technology. Dwayne previously served as the vice president for government relations at Edison Schools, Inc., and spent five years working on Capitol Hill, including as a professional staff member for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Small Business. He also served as press secretary to Representative Floyd Flake (D-N.Y.). In 2012, Dwayne was named to the Top Lobbyists & Influencers list by OBABL (On Being A Black Lawyer). He serves on the board of advisors of New York City Outward Bound and is an active member of the Washington Government Relations Group. Additionally, Dwayne serves on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association of New York where he serves as the co-chair of its Legislative Committee. Dwayne earned his J.D. from Georgetown University in 2000 and his bachelor’s degree from York College in 1996.
