Max Primorac brings 25 years of international experience working closely with foreign leaders in government and the business sector. He was Senior Advisor for Transition & Stabilization at the US Department of State where he the rank of Senior Executive Service with oversight of $2.4 billion in programs supporting private sector development, public sector reform, banking, agriculture, industry, housing, health, and central government capacity. Primorac is expert at reform of procurement and contracting systems and anti-corruption institutions. Previously he served at the US Department of Defense as a senior foreign policy expert to the Coalition Provisional Authority's Governance Team in Baghdad, Iraq. From 2009 to 2011 Primorac was senior adviser to the Government of Afghanistan in the reform and expansion of their subnational administration. From 1987 to 2003 he trained and advised senior leaders from Latin America, the Balkans and former Soviet Union as President of the Center for Civil Society in Southeastern Europe and Executive Director of the Institute on World Affairs Regional Office - Southeastern Europe. He founded and led the Europe-based International Center for Sustainable Transition that trained over 100 transition leaders. Currently he is President of the Institute for Stabilization and Transition.
