John Molino

John Molino is an associate at Abell, Henry & Associates. LLC, a consulting firm specializing in visionary, executive level consulting on issues relating to defense and the national security sector. Mr. Molino came to this position after serving more than 4 ½ years as the senior Department of Defense official responsible for the quality of life of military service members and their families. Mr. Molino also served as the acting Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Equal Opportunity from June 2002 through December 2005, directing the development and coordination of equal opportunity policies and programs that affect all military and Defense civilian personnel worldwide. Before joining the Department of Defense, Mr. Molino served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Association of the United States Army. Prior to that, he served as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Dan Coats of Indiana. Mr. Molino served as the President of the American Logistics Association (ALA) from January 2006 through September 2007. ALA is a non-profit trade association representing the manufacturers, brokers, and distributors who provide goods and services to the Defense Commissary, the military exchanges (Army/Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Veterans Canteens), and the morale, welfare, and recreation activities of the Department of Defense. In addition to its liaison with these groups, ALA’s advocacy extends to the Pentagon and the US Congress.
