Mary Jacklyn Bailey serves as a Director for Thompson Advisory Group focusing on a range of legislative and regulatory issues. Prior to joining TAG, Ms Bailey was Legislative Director for Teledyne Brown Engineering. In this role, she assisted in determining the annual legislative strategy for Teledyne Brown Engineering and worked to implement that strategy by advocating the company’s programs to Members of Congress and staff. Specifically, it was her responsibility to keep abreast of legislative developments and interact with congressional offices to ensure strong support for programs essential to Teledyne’s government business. Her focus was on both the appropriations process and authorization issues, primarily as they related to defense and aerospace. Ms. Bailey also worked to recruit and maintain contributors for the Teledyne Technologies PAC, in addition to representing Teledyne in various government affairs industry coalition groups. Ms Bailey also has experience on Capitol Hill. She worked for Congressman Bud Cramer (D-AL), a member of the House Appropriations Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, for over three years. During her tenure with Congressman Cramer, Ms. Bailey worked on a variety of issues including labor, telecommunications and veterans’ affairs, acting as a liaison to constituents and industry groups as well as the FCC, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Labor. Ms Bailey also served on the staff of Congresswoman Pat Danner (D-MO). Ms. Bailey graduated from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy.
