Brian Clarke

Brian Clarke was appointed Senior Vice President for Operations at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in February 2015. This executive position directly oversees and is responsible for three division departments: Applications and Tenancy Administration, Emergency Services, and Elevators. In addition, Mr. Clarke provides direct support to the Executive Vice-President of Operations in the day-to-day operations of 178,000 units of public housing in the five boroughs of New York City. Mr. Clarke joined NYCHA in 1996 as the Coordinator of the Lead Detection and Abatement Unit in the Technical Services Department. Rising through the ranks, he was promoted in 1999 to Deputy Director for Technical Services and then, in 2004, to Director of the Technical Services Department. In this capacity, he was responsible for the provision of technical support and services for maintenance and construction projects throughout the Authority, as well as the planning and management of centralized support services and environmental issues. Mr. Clarke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Rutgers University.
