Eli Wolfe Persky is a Research Associate at Collins & Company, specializing in foreign affairs, international trade and the environment. He also supports the President of Collins & Company in his work with defense contractors. Through his experiences in and out of the classroom, Mr. Persky has developed extensive research skills and learned how to successfully engage in the political process. He co-founded an influential non-profit organization in Madison, Wisconsin to address the controversial trans fat issue. His organization worked to bridge the growing divide between consumer health activists and restaurant rights advocates through the creation of a voluntary awards program for low trans fat restaurants, by promoting consumer education as a component of individual choice and by conducting an earned media campaign centered on legislation passed in the local government. Mr. Persky graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a B.A. in History. He wrote his undergraduate thesis on the changing role of private security firms in the American military. He also served as the President of the Undergraduate History Association at UW-Madison, organizing academic lectures, events and publications for the student community.
