Ann B. Cammack has returned to the firm as a Partner and will practice in the Tax Group. Most recently, Ms. Cammack served as an Attorney Advisor in the Office of Tax Policy at the US Treasury Department. At Sutherland, Ms. Cammack will focus her practice on the taxation of insurance companies and insurance products. She will be resident in the firm's Washington office. Ms. Cammack has built an impressive record of achievement in the insurance tax field. At the Treasury, Ms. Cammack developed and assisted in efforts to enact a number of insurance tax legislative proposals. In addition, she was responsible for Treasury regulations and other administrative guidance addressing insurance tax issues. Prior to joining the Treasury Department, Ms. Cammack practiced for two years with the Sutherland Tax Group, primarily advising the firm's insurance company clients. Before that, she specialized in insurance tax issues in the Office of the Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service. Ms. Cammack received her J.D., cum laude, at Washington and Lee University School of Law and her A.B. from Randolph-Macon Women's College.
