Since 2000 I've managed Apple's education policy and strategic relations initiatives in Washington, DC. Prior to that I was executive director of the Web-based Education Commission, a bipartisan presidential commission focused on improving the use of the Internet for learning. I also headed government affairs at the Software & Information Industry Association and lobbied for the National School Boards Association and other DC-based education and workforce policy groups. I currently serve on the boards of the National School Boards Foundation and National Coalition for Technology in Education and Training, and chair the policy committees of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills and International Society for Technology in Education.
