Dennis Duggan, an attorney, is president and chief executive officer of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree. Before transitioning into education, Duggan was a partner at Nixon Peabody LLP, where he was involved in firm management for 15 years and chaired the firm’s Litigation Department for eight years. Duggan served a federal court clerkship before entering private law practice with the Boston law firm Hale and Dorr (now WilmerHale). His peers have recognized his excellence in terms of both legal ability and ethical standards by ranking him “AV Preeminent” in the Martindale-Hubbell ratings, and he has been selected as a Massachusetts and New England “Super Lawyer” several times. He is a past president of the Suffolk University Law Alumni Board and was awarded the Law School’s Alumni Service Award in 1990. Duggan, a longtime youth and volunteer assistant high school basketball coach, was inducted into the Milton High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. He has been actively involved with Archbishop Williams for many years and was a longtime member of its board of trustees before being named president. He was inducted into the Archbishop Williams High School Academic Hall of Fame in 2011. Duggan earned a JD from Suffolk University Law School in 1978 and holds an AB from Boston College.
