Ken Lawrence Jr., CLA ’95, is Vice President for Alumni Relations. Before that role, he served as senior vice president for government, community and public affairs, overseeing the offices of Government Relations and Community Relations. Prior to joining Temple, Ken was a successful entrepreneur as founder and president of Public Affairs Strategies, where he represented corporate and nonprofit organizations. He also worked for five years at Merck & Co. Inc. handling public, community and media relations, and served as public policy representative for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Ken also serves numerous civic organizations, including the Temple University Political Science Advisory Board, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp., SEPTA, the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board and Cristo Rey High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
