Stanislav is an attorney with Gerstman Schwartz, & Malito, LLP. In 2008, he graduated from CUNY Hunter College with a B.A. in English Literature and Criticism. Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, he completed a rigorous Intern Investigator Program with the Civil Division of the Legal Aid Society of New York. It was during his time at the Legal Aid Society under the tutelage of experienced attorneys that Stanislav decided to pursue his own career in law. During his time at Hofstra University School of Law, Stanislav gained a broad range of experience working in several fields including employment discrimination, labor law, trusts and estates, health law, and corporate litigation. Notably, as a law student at Hofstra, Stanislav had the opportunity to work with attorneys throughout the course of the amended settlement proceedings in the September 11th World Trade Center Disaster Site Litigation, which culminated in a $680 million dollar settlement with the City of New York for injuries sustained by first responders. Following his graduation and admission to the bar, Stanislav gained valuable legal experience in a boutique legal practice specializing in serious personal injury actions, complex medical malpractice, and high profile civil rights litigation for victims of false arrest, police brutality, and other constitutional violations. He has represented numerous clients in contentious cases against some of the largest defense firms in the country, including the prosecution of a class action in response to a systemic computer data breach which resulted in mass identity theft. Stanislav has experience as second chair at trial as well as drafting and arguing appellate briefs before the Appellate Division, First Department and the New York State Court of Claims. In addition, Stanislav has experience with the prosecution of special proceedings under Article 78 of the CPLR in various contexts including civil rights, labor and employment, and land use. Stanislav is an attorney duly admitted to practice law before the Courts of the State of New York as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
