Jim Woodroffe, Consultant, consults for Alcalde & Fay out of Tampa where over 30 Florida clients benefit from his expertise and in-depth knowledge of local, state and national public affairs and energy issues. Before joining Alcalde & Fay, Mr. Woodroffe was the vice president of federal affairs for TECO Energy, Inc. There he accumulated over 33 years of varied energy experience, most of which was spent representing the TECO companies before state, local and federal legislative and administrative bodies. Mr. Woodroffe is the former president of the Florida State Society in Washington, DC and has served on the board of the Florida Aquarium and the University of South Florida Foundation. In addition, he has been an active board member of the Tampa Boy Scouts of America, the Oral School for the Deaf and the Tampa United Way. Mr. Woodroffe has also served on advisory committees to the Hillsborough County Commission, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Associated Industries of Florida, and the Florida Electric Power Coordinating Group. Mr. Woodroffe received his B.A. from the University of South Florida and his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law, with an elective emphasis in taxation.
