Founder and Chairman, Hector Alcalde has more than thirty-five years of experience in the legislative process in Washington, DC. Recognized as one of the leading practitioners in the demanding world of government representation, his experience and achievements on behalf of clients cover a broad range of issues and policies. A native of New York, Mr. Alcalde made his home in Florida in the early 1950's as an educator. In 1962 he came to Washington as the Chief of Staff to a former Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. He served in that capacity for twelve years. Mr. Alcalde founded the firm in 1973. In the past quarter of a century, he has represented and been a consultant to numerous national and international corporations and organizations. In addition, he has an extensive success record in working with public bodies at the state and local levels. Mr. Alcalde has served on the Boards of numerous public companies. As part of his on-going interest in education, he has also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Tampa, as Rector and Board Member of George Mason University and trustee of the Fairfax County Public Schools Education Foundation. An active fundraiser for public causes, Mr. Alcalde has served on the Boards of numerous charitable organizations in the Washington Metropolitan area. He is a well-known horse breeder in Virginia, and has served on numerous equine-related organizations and boards. Mr. Alcalde holds a B.A. in Government from the University of Tampa, and an M.A. in Education and Administration from Peabody College.
