Chris Parandian joined CAPITOL SOLUTIONS® as Vice President in March 2005. He brings 10 years of experience as a campaign advisor and government relations executive to the firm. Mr. Parandian began his political career working as a campaign coordinator for former Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.’s successful 1998 bid for Congress, and culminated as the Washington finance director for Nevada Senator John Ensign's 2000 campaign. In that role, he was responsible for Political Action Committee (PAC) fundraising and collaborating on national events with the Nevada campaign. One year as Vice President of Federal Legislative Affairs for ALLTEL Corporation. In this capacity, Mr. Parandian reported directly to the CEO, General Counsel, and executive team on matters pertaining to the company’s business in Washington. As the Chief lobbyist for ALLTEL, he was responsible for developing and implementing all legislative matters affecting the company. During that time, Mr. Parandian was part of a team which successfully delivered wireless ETC designation to ALLTEL’s wireless ventures in 5 states. He also assisted the wireline industry’s succesful effort to exempt the Universal Service Fund from the Anti- Deficiency Act. Three years as Manager of Federal Government Affairs for AT&T Wireless. During that time, Mr. Parandian led the wireless industry’s efforts in the U.S. House of Representatives to get the FCC to ensure wireline-to-wireless portability as part of the November 2003 Local Number Portability mandate by the FCC. He also successfully led a campaign to turn back the California PUC’s effort to promulgate a Technology Specific Overlay (TSO) in two area codes in California in February 2003. Mr. Parandian received his undergraduate degrees from Lehigh University and earned his MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
