John Duncan

John Duncan, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Legislative Affairs, is joining Wexler & Walker Public Policy Associates on April 1, 2005. He will serve as a Managing Director of the firm. As the Treasury Department’s senior official in charge of congressional relations, Duncan has worked closely with Senate and House leadership and the Chairmen and members of over 10 congressional committees. He played a key role in the passage of major parts of the President’s legislative agenda, including the 2001, 2002 and 2003 tax cuts, the Patriot Act, the creation of the Department of Homeland Security and Sarbanes/Oxley. Prior to joining Treasury, Duncan served as the Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for U.S. Senator William V. Roth, Jr. from 1985 until January 2, 2001.
