Prior to joining Blank Rome, Ms. Remington served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Policy at the Department of Justice. In this position she was responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating legal policy and strategic initiatives, interacting with the White House, Executive Branch agencies, and Congress on policy development and implementation. She also managed the coordination of the judicial selection process for Article III judges, working with the White House Counsel’s Office in the selection and vetting of judicial nominees, including the successful confirmations of Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito to the Supreme Court. Prior to her service at the Department of Justice, Ms. Remington was a senior associate at the law firm of Balch & Bingham in Washington, DC. While at the law firm, she worked in the Utility, Legislative & Regulatory Section. Her focus was in the area of legislative affairs, with major clients in the telecommunications and energy industries. From 1996 until 2001, Ms. Remington served as Counsel and later as Senior Counsel on the House Government Reform Committee. While at the Committee she worked on many of its oversight investigations and was responsible for the Committee’s health care issues. Ms. Remington is on the Executive Committee of the Republican National Lawyers Association and serves as Vice Chair of its Judicial Affairs Committee.
