Wayne Boich is a founding board member of 777 Partners. He is currently chairman and CEO of Boich Companies, where he helped manage the acquisition of mining operations in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Montana and developed a real-estate portfolio with assets across the U.S., including managed properties in Florida and Texas. Boich also has holdings in the financial services and telecom sectors. Mr. Boich joined the company in 1999 and has worked in all functions of the company over an eighteen-year span. During this time, he helped manage the acquisition of mining operations in West Virginia and Kentucky. Mr. Boich grew these operations till 2005, at which time they were sold to a private equity group. Mr. Boich was named Chairman and CEO in 2005. Mr. Boich expanded his coal assets in 2008 when he partnered with FirstEnergy Corporation to acquire the assets of Signal Peak Mine in Montana. Signal Peak is Montana’s only underground coal mine and is one of the world’s top producing longwall operations. Under Mr. Boich’s active management, Signal Peak has developed into a lead international coal company. In 2011, Mr. Boich spearheaded the sale of one-third of the operations to an international trading group for $400 million valuing the company at $1.5 billion inclusive of debt. Mr. Boich is the son of Wayne and Emeline Boich of Las Vegas. Mr. Boich and his wife Cynthia live in Miami Beach, FL, with their two children., He has a B.A. in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Miami.
