Brian M. Connolly is President and Chief Executive Officer of Oakwood Healthcare, Inc., a comprehensive regional network operating four hospitals and multiple post-acute and outpatient sites that serve nearly one million people in southeastern Michigan. He returned to Oakwood in 2007 to reconnect to his roots, having held a variety of administrative positions at Oakwood Hospital – Dearborn early in his career. Prior to becoming Oakwood’s CEO, Connolly was President and CEO of Blue Water Health System in Port Huron, Michigan, following his service as President and CEO of the Daughters of Charity Health System in Los Altos Hills, California. Before that, he spent two years as Executive Vice President of Catholic Healthcare Partners in Cincinnati, Ohio, and 14 years as President and CEO at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers in Southfield, Michigan. In addition to serving on the Oakwood Boards of Directors, Connolly is a member of the board of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, the Detroit Regional Chamber, New Detroit, Inc. and the Greater Detroit Area Health Council. He is also a member of the University of Michigan-Dearborn Citizens Advisory Committee and the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor School of Nursing Dean’s Advisory Board. Connolly earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University and his Master in Public Health from the University of Michigan.
