Mark Leadlove is a trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience as an advocate. He practices in federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals throughout the United States. He also appears before administrative agencies in the State of Missouri. His experience includes commercial litigation, franchise disputes, trade secret issues, intellectual property matters, restrictive covenant cases and property and municipal tax litigation. Mr. Leadlove’s litigation practice provides him with a broad background in numerous industries. Mr. Leadlove’s experience in commercial litigation includes litigating contracts and quasi-contract issues; claims of fraud and breaches of fiduciary duty; and Uniform Commercial Code, Uniform Trade Secret Act and other statutory issues. He has litigated a number of cases involving stock purchase and asset purchase agreements. Mr. Leadlove’s experience also includes the litigating of franchise arrangements, and non-competition and confidentiality obligations. Mr. Leadlove has represented clients in cases brought under the general franchise protection statutes of a number of states, as well as the specific provisions of Missouri statutes concerning the sale and distribution of spirituous liquor and wine. Mr. Leadlove also has defended manufacturers and wholesalers against claims raised by terminated distributors. Mr. Leadlove also has represented financial institutions in a variety of matters. He has handled cases involving complex commercial relationships, including representing financial institutions as plaintiffs to collect amounts due from creditors, as well as the counterclaims that arise from these cases. Mr. Leadlove’s experience also includes litigating property tax and municipal tax issues and practicing before the State Tax Commission of Missouri. Mr. Leadlove spent four years on active duty with the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, during which time he gained substantial experience as a trial lawyer. He retired from the Army Reserve in 2005. He also spent one year as a management consultant in the St. Louis area. Mr. Leadlove is active in the community serving in leadership positions on the boards of various charitable organizations.
