Mr. Douglas Paul Teitelbaum, also known as Doug, has been Managing Partner of Homewood Capital, LLC since December 2010 and serves as its Principal. Mr. Teitelbaum has been Manager of BH RE LLC since March 2003. He serves as Manager of Equity Co of BH RE LLC. He founded Homewood Capital and has a long and successful history investing in and turning around distressed and out of favor companies. He has been involved with companies such as NextWave, LLC. Barneys New York Telcove and the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Mr. Teitelbaum served as Managing Principal/ Managing Partner at Bay Harbour Management L.C from April 1996 to December 2010. He was Co-owner of Bay Harbour Management, LC. For over 13 years, he has been active in both the public and private area of the securities markets, focused on restructuring bankrupt companies. Since joining Bay Harbour , he had “championed the cause” for a number of activist restructuring investments both in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Teitelbaum joined Bay Harbour Management in 1996 as a Principal and Co-Portfolio Manager. He had been an active participant in the distressed securities markets since the late 1980s. He has participated in a number of activist investments including Bally’s Grand, Barneys New York, and NextWave Telecom, Inc. He served as Senior Advisor of NextG Networks, Inc. From 1994 to 1996, he was the Managing Director in the high yield and distressed securities group at Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. Prior to joining Bear Stearns & Co., he was a Partner at Dabney Resnick & Co. Inc. He served as a Senior Vice President at Dabney Resnick & Co. Inc. He started his distressed investing career in 1987 with the Johns Manville and Texaco bankruptcies, while at Oppenheimer & Co. Mr. Teitelbaum has been Co-Chairman of Tops Appliance City Inc since January 1999. He also serves as a Co-Chairman of Barney's Inc. He is a Co-Chairman of OpBiz, LLC. He serves as a Co-Chairman of the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. He serves as Co-Chairman of Swifty Serve Corp. He has been Director of Planet Hollywood International, Inc. since May 09, 2000. Mr. Teitelbaum serves as Director of American Banknote Corporation, Sottera, Inc., EZServe/Swifty-Mart Convenience Stores Inc., EBC Holdings Inc., and Swifty Serve Corp. He served as a Director at The Reader's Digest Association, Inc. He has been a Director of BUCA, Inc since September 2008. He has been Director of RDA Holding Co. since April, 2011. He served as Director of NextG Networks for four years. He served as a Director at Telcove, LLC since April 13, 2004 and Barneys New York, Inc since 1999. An avid fundraiser, Mr. Teitelbaum’s philanthropic activities include three New York schools, The Christ Church Day School The Dalton School, Trevor Day School and various Long Island institutions including the Southampton Hospital, The Southampton Fresh Air Home and The Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE). On May 8, 2000, he received the Isaiah Award for community service from the American Jewish Congress at which numerous political and social leaders were present and spoke on Mr. Teitelbaum’s behalf, including Senator Chuck Shumer and Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers. Mr. Teitelbaum holds an Unrestricted Nevada Gaming License.
