Nathan Blake was first introduced to Capitol Hill in 1999 while in college as an intern in the office of U.S. Senator Connie Mack (R-FL). In 2001, Mr. Blake joined the campaign of then-State Representative Jeff Miller's special election for an open congressional seat. As the chief associate to the campaign manager, Mr. Blake's primary responsibilities ranged from organizing campaign rallies, coordinating volunteers, overseeing the grassroots organization and managing campaign headquarters. After helping guide the campaign to a sound victory, Mr. Blake was hired as Congressman Miller's Legislative Correspondent in his Washington, D.C. office. In this position, Mr. Blake was charged with crafting all written correspondence on behalf Congressman Miller to his constituents in Florida. After only a few months, Mr. Blake was promoted to the position of legislative assistant with a portfolio that included domestic policy issues, such as taxes, Social Security, healthcare, financial services, energy, transportation, environment and appropriations. In this capacity, Mr. Blake drafted various pieces of legislation and developed strategy for their passage. Following the Martinez for Senate campaign, Mr. Blake returned to Washington, DC and joined the Jenkins Hill Group as the Director of Legislative Affairs. In this capacity, Mr. Blake oversees and monitors all Congressional activity relating to Jenkins Hill clients. Mr. Blake received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Florida State University and is a native of Orlando, FL. He currently resides in Arlington, VA and Orlando, FL.
