Alison Kutler

Ms. Kutler was recently selected to join the senior management team of the Chicago 2016 Olympic Committee as Director of International and Government Relations. Ms. Kutler remains a partner at the Firm. Ms. Kutler’s extensive federal and state advocacy activities are complemented by her deep political and congressional experience. Her practice includes a broad range of services to clients, including corporations, small businesses, trade associations, local governments and nonprofit organizations. As strategic counsel on public policy issues, Ms. Kutler develops and implements comprehensive federal and state advocacy campaigns, provides political intelligence services to financial sector clients, advises corporate clients on the government and political aspects of major transactions, develops partnerships between corporate, governmental and nonprofit entities, creates and executes federal sales and marketing strategies, and provides compliance and political law counsel. In her advocacy work before Congress, the Executive Branch, state legislatures and other public bodies, Ms. Kutler blends extensive process expertise with substantive capabilities in a broad array of areas including appropriations, housing, defense, education, health care, urban issues, emergency management, intellectual property, and international business. Ms. Kutler held several positions in the Clinton Administration from 1993 to 1996, including serving as assistant to U.S. Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown, and as a congressional affairs specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Export Administration and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Ms. Kutler also has experience in Congress, where she served from 1991 to 1993 on the staff of former U.S. Congressman Peter Hoagland. In addition, Ms. Kutler served on the 2000 Gore-Lieberman Presidential Campaign and was a member of the 1992 Clinton/Gore Presidential Campaign National Advance Staff.
