Lawrence S Lewin

Larry has been an Executive Consultant since December 1999. Mr. Lewin served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Lewin Group (healthcare public policy and management consulting), a subsidiary of Quintiles Transnational Corp., from 1970 to 1999 and was its founder. Mr. Lewin proudly served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Lewin has been the Chairman of H&Q Healthcare Investors Fund and H&Q Life Sciences Investors since 2000. He has been an Independent Trustee of H&Q Healthcare Investors Fund since 1987. Mr. Lewin has been a Director of Medco Health Solutions Inc., since August 2003. Mr. Lewin has been Director of H&Q Life Sciences Investors since 1992. He serves as Member of Advisory Board at Consumer Health Advisers, Inc. He served as a Trustee of InterMountain Healthcare Inc. He served as Director of MedcoHealth Solutions Inc. from August 2003 to December 10, 2007. He served as a Director of CardioNet, Inc. until July 2007. Mr. Lewin is an elected council member of the National Academies Institute of Medicine. He holds an A.B. degree from Princeton Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
