Lauren (Vander Heyden) Skiver is a native of Rockford, Ill. and graduated in 2008 with a degree in political science from Grove City College. While at Grove City College, Lauren worked at the United Nations. She also was a public relations coordinator for the international conference World Congress of Families and was the national director for a program which developed family oriented leadership on college campuses. Lauren has spent her career working in the pro-market philanthropic field. Her first job out of college was as a grants associate at the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation. She then joined DonorsTrust in 2009, a market-oriented donor-advised fund dedicated to preserving charitable intent for liberty. She currently manages DonorsTrust’s outreach. Lauren and her husband, Brent, live in Alexandria, Virginia.
