Patrick Rothwell serves as Manager of Government Relations at Van Scoyoc Associates, Inc. (VSA). His primary responsibilities include maintaining close contact with congressional staff, organizing and participating in congressional meetings and visits, and tracking appropriate authorization and appropriations legislation for VSA clients. Rothwell assists VSA Vice President Tom Lankford on a wide range of client activities. Prior to joining VSA in 2005, Rothwell was legislative director for U.S. Representative Thaddeus McCotter (R-Michigan), where he managed the congressman's daily legislative activities and was responsible for appropriations and homeland security issues. Before becoming legislative director, Rothwell was Congressman McCotter's senior legislative assistant handling veterans' affairs, energy, and judicial issues. Rothwell also worked as a legislative correspondent for Congressman Charles Norwood (R-Georgia). He held an internship with Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky). Rothwell hails from Norfolk, Massachusetts and earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Hobart College in Geneva, New York.
