Eugene V Fife

Mr. Fife is the founding principal of Vawter Capital LLC, a private investment company. While a partner of Goldman Sachs, he served on the Management Committee and was chairman of Goldman Sachs International. Mr. Fife currently is a director at Accudyne Industries, a producer of engineered pumps and compressors for energy business and other industries. Mr. Fife was a member of the board of directors of Caterpillar from 2002 to 2012. During that time he served as chair of the Audit Committee and, at the time of his retirement from the board, was chair of the Governance Committee and presiding director. He was non-executive chairman of Eclipsys, a provider of healthcare information systems that merged with Allscripts in 2010. Other boards on which he has served include Office Depot, a global supplier of office products and services, and Cequel Corporation, a provider of residential and commercial cable services. He currently is chair of the Governing Council of the Miller Center of Public Affairs, an affiliate of the University of Virginia. Mr. Fife received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and his M.B.A. from the University of Southern California. Managing Principal of Vawter Capital LLC (private investment).
