Thomas A Hooper

Tom Hooper is a Managing Director of Collins & Company, specializing in federal programs. He joined the company in December 1997, after completing 30 years of service in the U.S. military. Mr. Hooper’s strategic and operational planning skills were developed both through education and experience. He participated in the Army’s senior executive development program. One of eight fellowship students selected each year for this demanding program, he attended graduate level seminars, conducted research, and prepared monographs on strategic and operational issues. As part of the program, he visited military headquarters worldwide and interviewed senior leaders concerning their operational plans. On a practical basis, he coordinated logistics planning for military forces in Korea. In that role he analyzed logistics status, identified requirements, developed operational plans, and coordinated for required resources. Mr. Hooper was recognized as exceptionally adept at identifying problems and developing pragmatic, common sense, cost-effective solutions.
