Jordan Smith provides public policy advice and representation on federal legislative and regulatory issues, with special emphasis on energy, environmental, natural resource and health care matters. Mr. Smith also provides advocacy, strategic planning, research, and monitoring services for issues related to the Endangered Species Act, Alaska and Alaska Natives, health care policy and budget and appropriations representations. Mr. Smith serves on the staff of the National Endangered Species Act Reform Coalition (NESARC), a broad based coalition of member organizations that works to bring balance to the Endangered Species Act. He is responsible for congressional and administrative lobbying, public outreach, media relations, and membership development and services. Additionally, Mr. Smith represents the world’s largest health care services company on federal policy issues, for whom he works to develop and implement legislative strategies, and engages in direct lobbying and public education activities. Mr. Smith work closely with Members and staff on the Senate Committees on Environment and Public Works; Energy and Natural Resources; Health, Education, Labor and Pensions; Finance; and Veterans’ Affairs. In the House, he has relationships with the Committees on Energy and Commerce: Natural Resources ; and Veterans’ Affairs. In Administration, Mr. Smith also has worked closely with officials at the Departments of Interior, Commerce and Health and Human Services.
