Peter Hamby was a national political reporter for CNN, based in the network's Washington, D.C. bureau. The 35-year-old, a rare newsman reaching young consumers, says he left CNN for the digital platform in 2015 because he saw the opportunity to present news "in a totally refreshing and dynamic way for young audiences." Hamby has a bachelor's degree in English and African Studies from Georgetown University, and a master's degree in journalism from New York University. Hamby was a Spring 2013 fellow at the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, where he authored "Did Twitter Kill The Boys On The Bus?," a widely-circulated study on the impact of Twitter on media behavior and campaign press strategy.
