Gino Menchini, Managing Director of NSI’s New York City Practice, has more than 20 years of professional experience in public sector information technology and business development. Gino plays a pivotal role in building NSI’s technology practice, working with clients driving ROI and sales-driven outcomes. Prior to joining NSI, Mr. Menchini was Vice President of Business Development for Northrop Grumman Information Systems, where he managed all aspects of business development, sales, strategic planning, capture operations, and proposal center operations within this group as well as developing and maintaining relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers. Previous to that role, Mr. Menchini was appointed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg as Commissioner of the New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT) and New York City’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). As the City’s CIO and DoITT Commissioner, he reported directly to Mayor Bloomberg and was responsible for the oversight and direction of IT and telecommunications activities for all of the City’s agencies. During his tenure, he led an overhaul of the City’s operations to enhance the safety of its citizens after the attacks of September 11. Mr. Menchini has also held leadership positions at CA, Inc., Cisco Systems, St. Francis College and the New York City Department of Education, all in the field of information technology. Mr. Menchini holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Marketing from Pace University. He attended Pace University’s Graduate School of Business and has served as an adjunct professor at both St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NYC and Fordham University Graduate School. He is a trustee on several boards, including NPower, the Brooklyn Public Library and St. Francis College.
