Milam Mabry represents clients on federal and state legislative and regulatory issues in Texas and Washington, D.C. Mr. Mabry is directly responsible for formulating strategies, execution, and follow-up for a wide range of clients where public issues intersect with their operations. Mr. Mabry's clients have included Fortune 5 to Fortune 500 companies; numerous public entities including two of the largest bulk product and petrochemical ports and ship channels in the world; one of America's leading medical complexes; one of America’s largest food supplier/distributors; river and water authorities; a private prison company; and a coalition of public-private partnership entities helping Southeast Texas recover from the impacts of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Mr. Mabry is also a key member of the firm's Public Issues Management Group where he utilizes his MBA, business background, and a decade of experience in Washington, DC to assist his clients in navigating the intersection of business and government. Mr. Mabry's is a proven leader and works with his clients' top executives to implement effective strategic planning, communicating, navigating and executing issues through the public, legislative and administrative processes in a variety of areas where the public, business, and government meet. Mr. Mabry honed his legislative and negotiation skills working for two United States senators, including service as a key appropriations staffer charged with pursuing initiatives of major significance for Texas. This experience allowed him to develop great familiarity with key program areas such as energy and the environment, homeland security, crisis recovery and emergency management, natural resources, transportation and major infrastructure and agriculture. Prior to Mr. Mabry's government service, he served as a strategic sales manager for an U.S.-based international biotechnology company, leading strategic sales and marketing teams in the U.S., Western Europe and Latin America. Mr. Mabry continues to apply many of the skills he learned in this highly competitive and low margin industry where every sale and order was critical.
