Before coming to the Task Force, Ms. Walters had a 25-year career at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ). During the time at CDC, Ms. Walters worked in the Epidemiology Branch; was Executive Assistant to the Assistant Director of CDC; Executive Assistant to two CDC Directors; and Executive Assistant in the Office of Public Affairs. In 1984, Ms. Walters became one of the three original staff members of the Task Force. She has served as Office Manager, Assistant Director of Operations and is now Deputy Chief Operating Officer. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors for 17 years. Ms. Walters is married to Ray Walters and has one son, Keith.
