Peter Terpeluk Jr passed away on August 23, 2011. Ambassador Terpeluk has enjoyed a productive and rewarding career in government and the private sector. He founded the consulting firm Terpeluk and Associates in 1986, which he continued to operate while he simultaneously was a principal in the Washington office of the firm Wojdak and Associates from 1989 to 1993. In 1988, Ambassador Terpeluk served on President George H. Bush's transition team, and in 1990 President Bush appointed Ambassador Terpeluk to the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Avenue Development Commission. Ambassador Terpeluk was Of Counsel at the Forum for International Policy chaired by Brent Scowcroft, Co-Chairman of the National Senatorial Committee and Finance Co-Chairman for the Republican Governors’ Association. Ambassador Terpeluk held a leadership position with the National Finance Committee for Bush for President. In addition, he helped form and implement outreach to the U.S. Catholic community in the 2000 Bush Campaign. In 1983, Ambassador Terpeluk served in President Ronald Reagan's Administration, as Acting Deputy Administrator, in the U.S. Small Business Administration, Washington D.C. Prior to his stint as Acting Deputy Administrator, from 1981 to 1983, he served as Regional Administrator, in the U.S. Small Business Administration, Pennsylvania. Ambassador Terpeluk also served as Design Chairman in the Development of the Ronald Reagan Building from 1991 to 1992. Ambassador Terpeluk’s public service began when he served as Town Manager in two Southeastern Pennsylvania townships from 1972 to 1981. He also served with the U.S. Small Business Administration from 1981 to 1984, where he led trade missions to the United Kingdom, Russia, and China. In 1984, Ambassador Terpeluk became the Executive Director of the Greater Philadelphia Economic Development Corporation, where he worked closely with area government and business leaders to spur economic growth throughout that region. A Pennsylvania native, Ambassador Terpeluk earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from LaSalle College and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Rider College. Beloved husband of Diane Guglielmino Terpeluk; devoted father of Meredith and Peter Terpeluk, III "Trey"; brother of Pattilynn Anderson and Paul Terpeluk.
