Dr. Panke joined the Microsoft Board as a nonexecutive director on Nov. 11, 2003. He also serves on the board of directors of UBS AG, Switzerland, the supervisory board of Bayer AG, and the advisory board of Global Strategic Equities Fund of Dubai International Capital LLC. Dr. Panke has been with BMW Bayerische Motoren Werke AG since 1982 in a variety of positions and, from May 2002 through August 2006, served as Chairman of the Board of Management.
