Alberto Ciurana is president of Programming and Content for Univision Networks. He oversees programming for the entertainment broadcast and cable networks of Univision Communications Inc., the nation's leading media company serving Hispanic America. Prior to joining Univision Networks, Mr. Ciurana was vice president of programming at Televisa, Mexico's largest media company, leading their networks to record-setting ratings, following his previous roles as vice president of Broadcasting and vice president of International Operations. Prior to these roles, he oversaw international operations at Televisa, helping expand the company's brand and reach around the world, and was based in London with responsibility for Eurovisa. Earlier in his career, in 1986 Mr. Ciurana was named vice president of Production at S.I.N (Spanish International Network), the first Spanish-language television network in the United States, based in Laguna Nigel, California, which a year later would become the Univision Network,. He began his career in television working as a producer for the weekly variety show “Siempre en Domingo.†Prior to entering the television industry, Mr. Ciurana served as Director of Social Communications for the government of the state of Guanajuato, Mexico.
