Anurag Varma

Seasoned legal counsel and government affairs expert on U.S.-India matters for multinational corporations, sovereign clients, and trade associations. Anurag Varma is an attorney in Patton Boggs International Business practice, where he focuses on public policy and international business transactions relating to clients from, or with interests in, India. Before joining Patton Boggs, Mr. Varma was a name partner at a general practice law firm based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Varma currently serves as counsel for the U.S.-India Business Council, an advocacy arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as individual U.S. corporations with public policy interests in India. Since 2000, Mr. Varma has also served as counsel to numerous national organizations of Americans of Indian descent. Of note, Mr. Varma represents the Asian-American Hotel Owners Association, whose membership owns and operates 40% of all hotel properties in the United States.
