Paul Bailey joined The Keelen Group as the chief environmental policy advisor after serving in the same capacity with Valis & Keelen, LLC in April of 2007. He brings over thirty years of experience in both the public and private sectors. He joined The Keelen Group after serving as a partner at The EOP group for over two years. At The EOP Group he provided strategic counsel and analysis to several clients including the American Petroleum Institute, Edison Electrical Institute, National Mining Association, the Business Roundtable, and the Nuclear Energy Institute. Prior to joining The EOP Group in 2004, Paul worked in several different positions providing environmental policy advice. In 2001 he served as a Managing Director at Natsource LLC, an energy and environmental commodities broker where he was a member of their Strategic Services group. In addition, Paul has also served as the Vice President of Environmental Affairs at the Edison Electrical Institute, the Director of Environment, Health and Safety at the American Petroleum Institute, Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy and Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary at the Department of Energy during the George H.W. Bush administration. Previous to arriving in Washington, DC, Bailey worked as a nuclear licensing engineer for the Southern Company and Chairman of the math department at Central High School in Florence, AL. Paul holds a BS from Birmingham-Southern College and an MS from Vanderbilt University. Also, he is a graduate of the Stanford University School's Executive Management Program. Paul has been recently named one of Washington's top 'Association Lobbyists' by The Hill.
