Timothy Hogan

Timothy Hogan is an attorney in the Legislative and Public Policy Group, where he advises clients on a wide range of international and economic policy matters. From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Hogan was a legislative aide in the Democratic Leadership Office of Senator Tom Daschle (D-SD), where he managed a variety of issues, including international trade, budget, tax and corporate governance. Prior to joining Senator Daschle's Leadership Office, he was a member of the Senate Finance Committee's International Trade Staff under Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY). While with the Committee, Tim assisted in the drafting and management of several successful trade bills, including approval of China's entry into the World Trade Organization, the grant of trade benefits to certain African and Caribbean nations, and passage of a tariff suspension bill. Mr. Hogan is also a Senior Policy Advisor at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. He has a B.A. from Columbia and a J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he was awarded the Honorable Raymond J. Broderick and Robert Lamberton awards for studies in constitutional law. He completed coursework in Chinese law at Tsinghua University in Beijing and studied Mandarin at the Beijing Language and Culture University.
