Ambassador Ashley Wills is a Senior International Business Advisor at WilmerHale, focusing on India and South Asia. Ambassador Wills is a member of the Intellectual Property and Regulatory and Government Affairs Departments, as well as the International Trade, Investment and Market Access Practice Group. He assists US and other multinational firms with respect to cross-border transactions involving India and South Asia, and provides sophisticated strategic counsel relating to market access, risk management, export controls, intellectual property, regulatory issues, and policy and government affairs in India and the region. His services span the full range of commercial issues of interest to multinational companies, including outsourcing, market analysis, and due diligence with respect to potential acquisitions or joint ventures, particularly in the high-tech, financial services, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors. Ambassador Wills also focuses on Indian and South Asian firms' outbound trade and investment, including in the United States. He provides high-level policy and government affairs advice complementing WilmerHale's legal prowess in negotiating and documenting cross-border transactions; capital markets transactions and IPOs; regulatory advice and approvals, including CFIUS, and the movement of personnel, as well as defending against restrictive trade actions.
