McClure joined Sonnenschein in 2004 as a partner in its bipartisan Public Law & Policy Strategies Group. Among his many career highlights, McClure has served as assistant for legislative affairs to President George H. W. Bush, special assistant for legislative affairs to President Ronald Reagan, and associate deputy U.S. attorney general. McClure is the former managing shareholder of Winstead Sechrest & Minick's Washington, D.C. office. He also previously served for more than five years as managing director of Public Strategies, Inc., and as a former government affairs staff vice president of Texas Air Corporation. His other U.S. government service includes legislative director to former U.S. Senator John Tower of Texas, chairman of the Board of Visitors of the United States Naval Academy, and a member of the National Civil Aviation Review Commission. McClure earned a J.D. degree from Baylor University and a B.S. degree, summa cum laude, from Texas A&M University.
