Helen H. Miller, LCSW, was most recently Chief Executive Officer of CancerCare, a national non-profit organization that provides free, professional support services including counseling, education, financial assistance and practical help to individuals and families facing cancer. Ms. Miller began her career as a clinical social worker in cancer-related programs. She has extensive experience in directing a variety of cancer prevention and wellness programs for major cancer centers including Memorial Sloan-Kettering and New York Presbyterian Hospital. She also has extensive experience in non-profit executive management. Prior to becoming CEO of CancerCare in 2010, she served for five years as Executive Director of The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation. Ms. Miller holds a Master of Arts in Social Work from Columbia University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York, and is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and the National Association of Social Workers. Ms. Miller has also served on numerous boards of non-profits focusing on education, historic preservation and health. She is currently on the Board of Advisors of Health Advocates for Older People in New York.
