Rev. Gary N. McCloskey, O.S.A. : Gary is Executive Director of the Augustinian Way of Life Center and Director of the Augustinian Friends. These ministries focus on groups interested in the Spirituality and Values emanating from Saint Augustine of Hippo and the Augustinian Order (O.S.A.). Fr. McCloskey has served on the governing boards of Villanova University, Blessed Stephen Bellesini Academy (a Nativity-model Middle School) and the Washington Theological Consortium. As part of the 2010 Catholic school initiative and Campaign for Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Boston he has served on the board of Saint Ann School of Cape Ann in Gloucester, MA. Additionally, he has served on the President’s Advisory Council of Malvern Preparatory School (PA). The Planning Committee of the Board of Directors of Saint Augustine Preparatory School (Richland, NJ) has engaged him as a planning consultant. Fr. McCloskey served as Senior Academic Technology Officer at Merrimack College from 2008-2009. Prior to this position, Gary served as the Dean of the College (Vice president 2005-2008) and prior to this served as Provost and Dean of the College at Merrimack (2002-2005) and Vice President for Academic Affairs (2000-2002). In 2001 Gary was the Acting Director, Title II, Department of Education at Merrimack College. Throughout 2005-2009 Gary was the Founding Director, Saint Augustine Institute for Learning and Teaching. Fr. McCloskey also served as the Assistant to the President for Urban Studies and Liaison for the Frost School and Merrimack College from 1990-1991 and campus Ministry Intern at Merrimack (1976). From 2000 he was a Full Professor of Education at Merrimack achieving tenure in May 2003. From 2005 he was Professor of Augustinian Pedagogy at Merrimack.
