William T Garland

Fr. Garland has recently completed two four-year terms on the leadership team of the Augustinian Province of St. Thomas of Villanova as Councilor for Education. He served for two five-year terms on the Board of Trustees at Villanova University and for two four-year terms as Prior of Our Mother of Good Counsel Monastery at Merrimack. He remains Treasurer of that Community while currently enjoying “Senior Friar” ministry in the Province. From 1996-2001, Fr. Garland was director of education for the Diocese of Fall River, Massachusetts. Fr. Garland holds a Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University; two Master’s degrees (one from the Augustinian College (DC) and the other from Catholic University of America); as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies (C.A.S.) and a doctorate in educational administration from Harvard University.
