Michael Rothmeier

Mr. Michael Jarrett Rothmeier was the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer at Great Northern Asset Management, Inc. Prior to this, he was the President at MJR Enterprises, which he founded in 1999. Previously, Mr. Rothmeier served as Executive Vice President of Investment Services Group and President of Shawmut Investment Advisers at Shawmut National Corporation in 1992, where he was responsible for the firm’s private bank, personal trust, and investment management businesses. He later served as the Managing Director at Fleet Investment Advisors, with line management responsibility for the Fleet investment business. Prior to this, in 1989, Mr. Rothmeier moved to Fidelity Investments where he held a number of senior management positions including President of Fidelity Retail Marketing Services, President and Chief Executive Officer of Retail Distribution Company, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Brokerage Services, and Office of the President of Retail Investor Services. He began his investment management career at IDS American Express, where he served as Vice President of Client Acquisition and later, as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Rothmeier was also elected to the IDS Board of Directors. He began his business career in packaged foods marketing at General Mills in 1973 progressing through increasingly responsible marketing assignments in four different business divisions. Previously, Mr. Rothmeier also served as Executive Vice President of Digitas, where he managed a number of major client relationships and provided consulting services to companies in financial services, gas and electric energy, publishing, and software industries. Mr. Rothmeier has earned a Master’s degree in Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
